Play and chat sessions are starting again.

When?:                  On Saturdays - September 12, 19, 26 and October 3

What time?:          The sessions will run from 9.30 to 12 noon

How much?:         $5 per session

What is the format?: The first hour is a teaching session aimed at improvers:

Week 1 –  Bidding after 1NT (Stayman + Transfers) – Rob Hunter

Week 2 – Advanced bidding after 1NT – Rob Hunter

Week 3 – ACOL bidding Sequences:  Minimum / Invitational / Game Forcing -Rob Hunter

Week 4 – Doubles (takeout, negative, responsive)

 The second part of the morning is the play and chat session. There will be set hands to play. As players bid, their partner will need to explain what that bid means, out loud. This process helps to clarify thinking and understanding of bids and communication between partners.

 

Please let Basia or Rob know if you are coming, so we have some idea of numbers, but just coming on the day is OK too..
