Hi, Basia!

A quick invitation: this week, all our class members have been invited to join our other classes. With the free trial we offer all new members it would be a great chance to come give LBO a try if you haven't. Just start your free trial, and watch dozens of live and recorded lessons this week taught by all of our wonderful teachers: Learn more...

Okay, without further ado: this week's video!

"You expected that you would make mistakes, right? So why are you upset? Everyone here is making mistakes!"

If you saw the previous video with Leon Meier, you likely shared my amazement not only with with Leon's incredible talent but also with how quickly he has risen to the highest levels of competitive bridge. I didn't know if I wanted to applaud or cry when I heard Leon had only started learning bridge... wait for it... FIVE. YEARS. AGO!!! And now he is heading to the upcoming World Bridge Games in Buenos Aires representing New Zealand. Wow!!

Well, I had to grab the chance to ask Leon about his experience preparing for the team trials. What I wasn't expecting was the biggest challenge he faced was one we can all relate to.

Watch the video and leave a comment about how you coach yourself after your own mistakes: https://youtu.be/4Xxx_yjtcJ4

And please leave a comment as well thanking Leon for joining us for these two videos. Leon, we'll be cheering you on!

Your partner in learning,

Bajir from Learn Bridge Online

BRIDGE CRUISE 23 November, 2024. See flyer: “My name is Julie Morgan-Hughes, an avid bridge player and Travel Broker from Matamata, Waikato.   In association with Margaret Wilson and Grandmaster Kate Terry - we have put together a 10 Night Queensland Coast cruise onboard the Crown Princess ex Sydney - with the 4 sea days being filled with bridge lessons - tips and tricks - and then in the afternoons we have organised tournaments with prizes.  We need a minimum of 40 persons to make this cruise happen and have a third of that filled already within the first week of advertising around the Waikato but wanted to open it up to everyone around New Zealand as these cruises have been very successful in the past - this cruise was supposed to take place in 2020 .. but we all know why it didn't happen 🙁 ...
